Raven's Call 06:14
We find ourselves at the height of the storm With the past raging higher We hold ourselves With space in these words We'll dance the devil away We will dream of worlds we've never seen Come to the crossroads of the fire We will wake to the sound of the revolution The time is now in the Raven's Call The Raven's Call There's a sound cutting through the clouds To take us to that day There's a truth Resonating souls To take us to our home We will dream of worlds we've never seen Come to the crossroads of the fire We will wake to the sound of the revolution The time is now in the Raven's Call The Raven's Call And the Raven flies Through forgotten skies Knowing us from the outlet of our day And the Raven calls Raven calls Through deaths deep walls Death's deep walls And through the sound we know we'll soar We will dream of worlds we've never seen Come to the crossroads of the fire We will wake to the sound of the revolution The time is now in the Raven's Call The Raven's Call

Is this the end of the road? Is this the end of the road? Stoney ground beneath me, trembles with every step Watch where you put your feet now don't fall victim of the Cracks go down for ever, the poison thats within feeds off lies, twisted gossip spies, Thats where it all begins It begins This once idyllic landscape, carved from years of toil Helped grow a generation, that bloomed from toxic soil where things were hidden, hidden in plain sight Flowers bloomed, you'd assume everything's alright It's not alright Will there ever be light at the end of the road in our lives There's a glimmer of hope in our eyes But I don't wanna hope too much. Thoughts go on forever, what-ifs and whys and where are those innocent memories that suddenly disappeared from deep within me, foundations they were shook Lets build them back stronger A new page turned in an old book In an old book Will there ever be light at the end of the road in our lives There's a glimmer of hope in our eyes But I don't wanna hope too much. Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, is this the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road? Is this the end, the end of the road?

Divine poetry stretches from our skies Divine Symmetry reflected when we find Illusions collapse, imperfect in our time We all must be forgiven for our accidental crimes Does really matter at all, what took us to this place? Aren't we all just angels, stolen from our grace? This could be the one that opens the door Could free our landscapes forevermore, forevermore, forevermore I know what you've been through is a destroyer of worlds I know what you're craving when the truth is unfurled This could be the one that opens that door Could free our landscapes forevermore, forevermore, forevermore And I hope you'll understand this is where we should be Beyond the words there's a sanctuary that frees us from our sleep This could be the one that opens the door Could free our landscapes forevermore, forevermore, forevermore

Dragons 03:05
You and I will build a home with Bricks and blood, wood and stone A workplace for building and Gates against the dangers of the night You and I will build a wall with Strength to hold till heavens fall To carve out a haven and Fill it with light You and I Will fight against dragons We'll face down the cannon and Push back the dark You and I Will raise this flame higher A whole world on fire Will spring from this spark You and I You and I You and I You and I You and I You and I You and I You and I You will build a table strong to Carve our names and dreams upon And paint me a picture of Future songs you know our life will hold I will sail the roughest sea to Bring a treasure home with me And clothe you in tapestries Black, red and gold You and I Will fight against dragons We'll face down the cannon and Push back the dark You and I Will raise this flame higher A whole world on fire Will spring from this spark You and I You and I You and I You and I will climb the mountains high To raise a flag all tyrants to defy You'll know my word was true And every tongue will sing of You and I You and I You and I You and I

Sinking Sand 04:33
The hour is darkest before the dawn The world is the oldest when the black eyed dog it calls around So take my hand through the sinking sand And pull us out when our philosophy hits the ground Sinking Sand Take my hand through the sinking sand There some day we'll find a way to the other world How does it feel like to be dead inside? How does it feel to have your world denied? So all that you are, give it away Because you're nothing like that anyway Ego and Self falling away Because it's the dawn again today Sinking Sand Take my hand through the sinking sand There some day we'll find a way to the other world Sinking Sand Take my hand through the sinking sand There some day we'll find a way to the other world Sinking Sand Take my hand through the sinking sand There some day we'll find a way to the other world

Space 04:06
She walks alone, keys in hand. - Crosses the road on a route well planned Plenty of street lights, shops to go into, - All the things that keep her safe, that all women do It's an unwritten rule passed down for generations - Like a secret code written deep in her foundations Call me when you get home safe, okay yeah? It's Exhausting, she hides behind her hair Go on, be strong, take up space It's up to us to dismantle the barriers we face Relay baton is passed on and on Let's hope it gets lighter but we'll carry on being Strong Respect can go a long, long way. Be an Ally, a friend and together we can slay. Don't Give up, we can one day say goodbye to this Evil unfair world. Go on, be strong, take up space It's up to us to dismantle the barriers we face Relay baton is passed on and on Lets' hope it gets lighter but we'll carry on being Strong Go on, be strong, take up space It's up to us to dismantle the barriers we face Relay baton is passed on and on Let's hope it gets lighter but we'll carry on being Strong

A man wandered off to war with an idea in his head And the reasons for it called from what someone else had said Imaginary foes keep being created It'll always fall apart when you see your face in theirs If I had the chance to make everything right I'd take down the mind-forged prisons of those choosing to fight And the changes in the distance keep calling ahead Through striving and the laughing and the incandescent fights So, don't open up the door to the demons of self-doubt When you know inside us all of light that never goes out If I had the chance to make everything right I'd take down the mind-forged prisons of those choosing to fight And the billions of souls who've been here before They just need us all to free our days We'll break down these doors Break down these walls Of the prisons we've made Of the shackles we've made There's a heaven From the darkness to the light And the castles on the sand are falling down

You say your opinion's a matter of fact Keep burning your bridges It's never as simple as that Keep telling yourself you know what this is When the storm tore down your house for all the world to see Look on these works, you mighty and tremble The tides will turn, ages turning around Look on these works, you mighty and tremble The change is dust, echoing words across this sound It's all for nothing in the end It all keeps turning in the end It's all for nothing in the end It all keeps turning in the end To begin again So, when love and compassion is replaced by honesty Fear and ignorance will take the stand When the smoke has cleared, we'll see with clarity What's behind the curtain is sinking sand Look on these works, you mighty and tremble The tides will turn, ages turning around Look on these works, you mighty and tremble The change is dust, echoing words across this sound It's all for nothing in the end It all keeps turning in the end It's all for nothing in the end It all keeps turning in the end To begin again It's all for nothing in the end It all keeps turning in the end It's all for nothing in the end It all keeps turning in the end To begin again

A million light years away There's an ocean we can play There's a song in this verse the first time we rehearsed So, I must tell you today A million lifetimes away There's a beacon on the bay There's people crying, thinking no-one can hear So, we must sing this today And I just wanted to stay Just where we lay Eternal moments, touching the void So, you must hear this today And we'll be resting these weary bones A simple million shards of light Emanating from our universal song Through all the fears to the sun Through all the fears to the sun Through all the fears to the sun Through all the fears to the sun The unconditional shines The unconditional shines The unconditional shines The unconditional shines The unconditional shines The unconditional shines The unconditional shines

about

Look On These Works is the culmination of 10 years of songwriting and creative passion, and follows up the band's 2013 album The Importance of Being Serious and 2016 Ballad of Bones EP.

The band has been gigging in the North East since 2011, but this album showcases a new lineup, with long-standing singer-guitarist Rob Jones and bassist/multi-instrumentalist Tim Packer joined by the superb talents of Sinéad Florence Livingston on vocals, keys and guitar,
violinist Alistair McCubbin, cellist Caroline Hoile and drummer Mark Burley.

The album was recorded by the band themselves in the Old Church, Sacriston, mixed by Newcastle musician and producer Martin Hoile and mastered in Nashville by Steve Corrao. It was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising over £2000 for mixing, mastering and album production.

Opening track Raven's Call will be accompanied by a spectacular video filmed on Weardale by videographers Chris Allan and Grant Robson of Wycombe 89 Media, with the band joined by a cast of 15 to tell an epic narrative.

"Look On These Works is an incredibly engaging listen, whether it’s the monumental sounding strings that carry us through this adventure, or the war-like drums at the start of the title track, it’s an impressive experience." Narc Magazine
